Avatar(film):

I like the creatures in Avatar as they use realistic animals and objects from the real world but change the scale to make them bigger or smaller to create the creature in the film. They are highly detailed creatures and use proportions that are not realistic in our world. Borderlands(game):

I like these creatures as they have the same basic body shape but have different elements for each design like different feet. I also like the colours used to show detail in the creatures, i also like the fine detail on the creatures as they make have a real look about them. I also like the sizes they used as the body,tail, arms, and feet all work well together which makes the character to look professional.

lost planet(game):

I like the creatures from the lost planet as they use exaggerated sizes as there font arms are twice the size of there body which makes the character to look intimating. I like the dark colours used which makes the creature to look deadly.

mass effect(game):

With the first image it reminds me of a dog or cheater. I like the big bold eye for the creature as it stands out, i also like the teeth of the creature as it shows the dangerous side of the creature.

pokemon and digimon(animation/game):

The range of colour that is used in Pokemon creature appeal to different audiences and the creatures are normally basic on natural living creatures, animals or plants.

Dark souls(game):

The creatures in dark souls are normally very creative and use different ideas to create there creatures for example the top image is made up of three elements a scorpion legs/lower body, human for the torso and a bull for the head.

By looking at Cliff child work it gave me the idea of where the character is going to live, as a lot of this environment art is very dark.

Jung Park:

By looking at Jung Park work it gave me ideas of features my creature could have like ice attracted to the character.

Kale has only used the silhouette to create a strong image for the character as in a game it is very likely to only see the creature for a split second so it is important for the character to have a strong outline.

Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of a design or idea for use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is put into the final product. Concept art is also referred to as visual development. Concept art normal has a main focus point like a city or town and uses the rule of thirds to stop the objects and areas of interest  from spiting the image into two and allows the image to flow as a whole image. Concept art uses a lot of different shades and tones to help highlight key features in the image this helps the user to see specific parts in an image.

Eboy are a pixel art group founded in 1997. I like pixel graphics design as the images are normal very bright in color and they stand out. I like the fact with pixel graphic design that in some images you can see the individual pixels which gives the image a very retro feel and reminds me of computer games graphic from the late 80s.When there are lots of objects on a page that are pixels it makes the images to look colorful and it makes it hard to notice the individual pixels in the piece of media. Pixel art is very popular and is used in a lot of recent indie games like Hotline Miami and FTL: Faster Than Light. Pixels art is still used in a lot of modern game consoles mainly used on the Nintendo 3DS where you can see the individual parts which makes up the image. With pixel art there are many people who like the look of the art style of pixel art this is shown in the population with games and gives the user a retro style. But there are a lot of people who do not like the style because it looks very old fashion and some people thinks that the style makes the image to look ugly because you can see every pixel of the image.
